NSW: Emergency water supplies for Murrumbidgee farmers
SYDNEY, Feb 7 AAP - Drought affected farmers in the Murrumbidgee, in the state's south,will have access to emergency water supplies, the NSW government announced today.
NSW Minister for Land and Water Conservation John Aquilina said landholders wouldbe to pump and cart water from the Murrumbidgee River and the streams of the catchmentfor their stock at no extra charge.
"With livestock water supplies becoming critical across the south ... this will bea huge boost for sheep and cattle farmers who don't have direct access to the Murrumbidgee,"
